Our Story

In 2022, a Bible study in Cottonwood, Arizona grew into a house church. In 2023, that congregation moved to Prescott and became King’s Way Reformed Church—a conservative Reformed church holding to the Thirty-Nine Articles and the Book of Common Prayer.

Our Tradition

Anglicanism

The Reformation produced three Protestant traditions: Lutheran, Anglican, and Presbyterian. We stand within the Anglican tradition—the faith of C. S. Lewis, George Washington, Charles Wesley, and George Whitefield. We are called “Reformed Catholics”—Reformed in doctrine, catholic in inheritance; governed by Scripture, but deeply rooted in the historic Church. We believe the Reformation was not the birth of a new church, but the recovery of the ancient faith according to Scripture.

What We Mean

Reformed & Catholic

Reformed

We hold to the Five Solas of the Reformation.

Sola Scriptura

Scripture alone

Sola Gratia

Grace alone

Sola Fide

Faith alone

Solus Christus

Christ alone

Soli Deo Gloria

To the glory of God alone

Catholic

Not Roman Catholic. We maintain continuity with the catholic, or universal, Church of the first five centuries: her Scriptures, her creeds, her councils and her worship. Summarized this way:

One Faith

Two Testaments

Three Creeds

Four Churh Council

Five Centuries of the Early Church

The Reformation was not the birth of a new church, but the recovery of the ancient faith according to Scripture.
